Hood County now has a Special Olympics Team! Go team, go.... We need your help. We need athletes and volunteers. There are three levels of volunterism, "Coach," "Coaching Staff," and "Athlete." If you would like to be a Coach, there is an online training component and a one day training. If you would like to be part of the Coaching Staff, there is not a one day training, but you must still turn in the volunteer form prior to activities involving the kids. On this level you may attend as many of the Saturday practices as you can but you are not obligated to attend a certain number. However, if you have agreed to attend a certain practice and others are expecting your attendance, we do ask that you let the appropriate Coach know you will be unable to attend that particular practice. Athletes are of course what it's all about. WE ARE PRESENTLY IN NEED OF ANY TYPE OF THREE WHEEL BICYCLE and regular two-wheel kid's bikes. You may drop them off at our office (address is noted below.)

Hood County Track & Field Training has started for Volunteers & Athletes

Class A Volunteer form must be filled out prior to participation with the kids. You may pick up the form & return envelope at our office; 1540 Southtown Dr., Suite 113, Granbury, Tx.

Athletes Participation forms may also be picked up at the above location. If your child answers "no" to all the medical questions, you do not need to have the doctor's release signed.

Take Pearl Street from downtown. Take first right past High School-this is Howard Clemmons Road, continue approx. 2 blocks to Crossland Rd. where you will take a right. Please note this is the second track you will see. The first track is part of the highschool complex. The middle school facility has a green roof. We are meeting at the track & there is plenty of parking. See you there!
