ABA Overview

ABA involves a level of intensive individual discrete trail learning which unfortunately, even the most well-meaning and dedicated larger facilities are unable to to provide. We utilize a naturalistic ABA format which has clearly demonstrated success with individuals on the autism spectrum, especially when administered early and intensively. This method promotes personalized motivation using positive reinforcement and uses a systematic approach which builds mastery one task at time, requiring 100% mastery before graduating to the next task.

What We're Doing

There is an increasing demand for autism evaluations & diagnostics, as well as ABA therapy for individuals with autism, particularly outside of the immediate DFW metroplex. We attempt to address the needs of these children and adults without the added burden of familial commuting of long distances to acquire services. We're conveniently located to Granbury, Stephenville, Cleburne, Glenrose, Joshua , Weatherford and Fort Worth, Texas as well as outlying areas. We provide ABA Therapy (Applied Behavior Analysis) to individuals on the Autism Spectrum and those with related developmental disorders. We provide diagnostics and full psychological evaluations for autism, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, and general psychological concerns.

Unfortunately, autism is very much on the rise. Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) strikes 1 in 91 children in the US, 1 in 57 if you are a boy. (National Children's Health Survey Report 2007) Because of this, chances are someone you know or love will be affected by this disorder either now or in the future AND according to the US Surgeon General, 1999, “Thirty years of research demonstrated the efficacy of applied behavioral methods in reducing inappropriate behavior and in increasing communication, learning, and appropriate social behavior.” Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the treatment of choice for Autism Spectrum Disorders. It is also a highly effective intervention for some types of related developmental disabilities.

At Granbury Psychological Center we are concerned with the unique needs of the individual. We currently have no wait-list for autism, ADHD, and general psychological evaluations by our Licensed Psychologist, Dr. Randie Kay Harrings. We provide psychological evaluations, testing, and diagnostics for intellectual disability, learning disorders, mood-based, behavioral, or emotional disorders; as well as psychological evaluations needed for foster care or other agency requirements for the purposes of bonding, adoption, familial reunification, and medical bariatric procedures. Agency or physician referrals may be faxed to: 866.468.0723. Most major insurances are accepted, as well as private payment modalities.
